DEPRESSION

Depression is a condition which includes persistent waves of sadness and hopelessness. It can be caused by genetics, stress, being poorly nourished, chemical imbalances in the brain, drugs, and other health issues. It can keep many people away from doing things they usually enjoyed.

 

Some (physical and mental) symptoms of depression can include:

 

  • having a loss of interest in certain things

  • feelings of emptiness

  • feelings of guilt and hopelessness

  • feelings of restlessness

  • having fatigue

  • negative self - esteem

  • experiencing body aches and / or headaches

  • trouble falling asleep or trouble with sleeping excessively

  • trouble focusing on tasks

 

 

According to the CDC, teens can very likely have some sort of an depression disorder if they show these signs:
 

  • having feelings of hopelessness, sadness, and irritability

  • not enjoying once enjoyable things

  • alterations in eating patterns

  • alterations in sleeping patterns

  • alterations in energy patterns

  • trouble focusing on tasks

  • having feelings of being useless or guilty

  • demonstrating self - damaging behavior

Even though these signs may show through, they must get diagnosed by a mental health professional in order to be labelled with that certain disorder.

OPEN UP TO SOMEONE YOU TRUST

GET PHYSICALLY CHECKED

3.

GO TO THERAPY

4.

GET ENOUGH SLEEP

5.

TAKE SOME MINOR THINGS OUT OF YOUR LIFE THAT GIVE YOU STRESS

6.

HAVE A CLEANER DIET AND EXCERSISE

7.

BE AWARE OF WHAT IS CAUSING YOU TO HAVE DEPRESSION AND LEARN TO ACCEPT IT
